Denis Villeneuve’s “Dune: Part Two,” arrives on digital April 16 and on 4K Blu-ray and DVD on May 14. The film is nearing the $700 million worldwide mark, and is currently #4 at the box-office.
When it becomes available to rent, it would have been 46 days since ‘Dune 2’ was first released in theaters. So, Warner Bros have adhered to their promise of a 45-day theatrical window for Villeneuve’s film. It should be noted that it took Nolan’s “Oppenheimer” well over 100 days to become available digitally.
Meanwhile, over the weekend, and much to Warner Bros’ multiple attempts to prevent this very thing from happening, ‘Dune 2’ leaked on illegal Torrent sites. This is no doubt due to circulating copies of the digital release.
