Greta Gerwig now has her jury. The Cannes Film Festival revealed the nine-member jury for its 77th edition, it includes five filmmakers and four actors.
This year’s jury includes screenwriter Ebru Ceylan (Climates), actress Lily Gladstone (Killers of the Flower Moon), actress Eva Green (The Dreamers), director Nadine Labaki (Carpenaum), director Juan Antonio Bayona (Society of the Snow), actor Pierfrancisco Favino (The Traitor), director Kore-eda Hirokazu (Shoplifters), and actor Omar Sy (Les Intouchables).
The jury will be responsible for watching all 22 films in competition and awarding the prestigious Palme d’Or. There are 10 English language films in competition this year, a modern record, including the latest works from Coppola, Arnold, Baker, Lanthimos, Cronenberg, Schrader and Abassi.
