Per THR, Warner Bros’ “Dune: Part II” needs to make $500 million to break even. The film cost around $190 million to produce. It should handily go past that mark and probably reach $600-700 million worldwide. The film’s got legs. It made $7 million on Monday and $8 million on Tuesday. Just to compare, 2021’s “Dune,” which had a day-and-date release on HBO Max, due to the pandemic, grossed $433 million worldwide — and that’s not counting the $30 million it amassed with last month’s re-release.
