Here’s another hot package which is being shopped around to many studios, one which is set to be Joseph Gordon Levitt’s sophomore effort as a director, coming over 10 years after the release of “Don Jon.”
Gordon-Levitt is set to direct an untitled AI thriller, for Rian Johnson’s T-Street Productions, with Anne Hathaway set to star (via Deadline). No word on plot details. Gordon-Levitt wrote the script with Kieran Fitzgerald (“Snowden”). Natasha Lyonne (“His Three Daughters”) shares a story credit.
Gordon-Levitt’s 2013 feature directorial debut, “Don Jon,” grossed $40M at the box-office and earned positive reviews. He followed that one with the underseen Apple TV series “Mr. Corman,” which he wrote, directed and also starred as a San Fernando Valley public school teacher.
