UPDATE: Looks like Thursday is the day for the trailer. A poster has also just been released for Gunn’s film, which can be seen below — a new version of John Williams’ score is being used.
UPDATE: Matt Belloni has confirmed that the trailer is coming next week, and that it heavily features Superman’s dog Krypto, who apparently steals the show.
The amount of pressure Gunn has with his $300M+ “Superman” is unheard of. Warner Bros, and particularly David Zaslav, are betting all of their chips on Gunn’s DCU, and if it gets off to a rocky start then heads will have to roll. I’m cautiously optimistic that we’ll get a good film.
Gunn’s “Superman,” which wrapped production in August, is set to star David Corenswet, Rachel Bronahan Nicholas Hoult , Skyler Gisondo, Anthony Carrigan and Isabela Merced. The film will be released worldwide on July 11, 2025
EARLIER: A trailer for James Gunn’s “Superman” is supposed to be released sometime this month. There’s word of a big press event on the week of the 16th which lines up with Disney’s release of “Mufasa.” Now, there have been rumors of a delay, but as it stands, next Monday is when press are supposed to catch a first glimpse.
