Ti West to Direct ‘Bloodlust' for Amazon

December 10, 2024 Jordan Ruimy

Ti West recently put the kibosh on his original plan to expand the ‘X’ trilogy. He confirmed that this summer’s “MaXXXine” was indeed the last film and that he is “done” with the franchise which started off with “X” and “Pearl.”

Instead, it looks like West has lined up his next project, an Amazon series titled “Bloodlust.” Singer & songwriter Halsey will co-write the screenplay with West. Although no plot details have been made available, the series is being described as a “dark comedy.”

Back in May, West was teasing a possible idea for a fourth film in the “X” series. He stated that more than a month before the release of “MaXXXine”. The film, starring Mia Goth, wound up getting a lukewarm response from critics and audiences. West is now on to the next thing.
