David O. Russell keeps on piling up the projects. The InSneider is hearing that Oscar winner Charlize Theron is set to star in the first major TV series of her career — a Paramount+ show titled “Cash” and set to be directed by Russell.
No clear plot details have been revealed about “Cash,” but Sneider’s sources are telling him that the series will be tackling “Russian oligarchs and the British government.”
Cash is expected to begin filming next year once Theron wraps the Netflix movie “Apex” with Taron Egerton. This does also give Russell ample time to shoot and complete “Madden” which is supposed to star Nicolas Cage, and recently set up a January production start.
Russell now has no less than six projects in development at the moment. There’s “Cash,” the Linda Ronstadt biopic (starring Selena Gomez), the Get Smart reboot, a FIFA limited series, the Sacha Baron Cohen led “Toys”, and “Madden.”
