The Zellner brothers are coming off this year’s Sundance hit “Sasquatch Sunset.” Their previous credits include “Kumiko, The Treasure Hunter” and “Damsel.”
The brothers are so hot right now that, by the looks of it, plenty of big-name actors want to work with them on their next film, titled “Alpha Gang.” This morning, the cast was announced, and it includes the likes of Cate Blanchett, Léa Seydoux, hChanning Tatum, Steven Yeun, Dave Bautista, Zoë Kravitz, & Riley Keoug. Wowza.
“Alpha Gang” centers on a “group of alien invaders sent to conquer Earth. Disguised in human form as a 1950s leather-clad biker gang, dubbed the Alpha Gang. They are ruthless in their mission, until they succumb to the most toxic and contagious human condition of all: emotions” (via Deadline).
The film is scheduled to shoot in Spring 2025. It will be lensed by cinematographer Mike Gioulakis (“It Follows,” “Us,” “Split”) who previously worked on the Zellners’ “Sasquatch Sunset.”
