Focus Features has won the “Black Bag” sweepstakes. There was a bidding war going on for the film, involving, at least, four studios, but Focus eventually came out the winner in acquiring Steven Soderbergh’s spy thriller. The film, set to star Cate Blanchett and Michael Fassbender, and written by David Koepp, is expected to start production in May.
