In an interview with El Mundo, Woody Allen was asked which of his movies he would like to be remembered for. The five movies he named did not include “Annie Hall,” and “Manhattan.”
I won't say the ones I don't want to be remembered by. The ones that I do: “The Purple Rose of Cairo,” “Zelig,” “Bullets Over Broadway,” “Vicky Cristina Barcelona,” “Midnight in Paris” and “Match Point.”
In that same interview, Allen defends Luis Rubiales and the kissing controversy that has embroiled the soccer community. He probably should have just said “no comment.”
Last week, Allen had said that he didn’t believe he’s ever made a “masterpiece” in his career and that he had regrets not making one. I digressed, most of our readers did as well, especially when Hannah and Her Sisters” and “Crimes and Misdemeanors” are right there in plain sight.
Allen’s getting good reviews for his 50th film “Coup de Chance.” I’m trying to set up a screening of the film with Woody’s camp because I highly doubt this’ll be getting U.S. distribution.
