Here’s the trailer for Andrew Haigh’s hotly anticipated “All Of Us Strangers.”
The film screened at Telluride in early September. It got praised left and right. It’s maybe the most critically acclaimed title of the fall fests, alongside Lanthimos’ “Poor Things.”
A 100% on Rotten Tomatoes, but with a whopping 9.5 average rating from critics. It’s at 98 on Metacritic. If you’ve seen Haigh’s previous films (“Lean on Pete,” “45 Years” and “Weekend”) then it shouldn’t come as much of a surprise that he’s made a strong film.
Next up for ‘Strangers’ is the New York Film Festival screening next week, it skipped Venice and TIFF. It has also set up a December 22, 2023 release date, via Searchlight. The cast includes Paul Mescal, Andrew Scott, Claire Foy and Jamie Bell.
Here’s the synopsis:
“Strangers” follows Screenwriter Adam (Scott) who, one night in his near-empty tower block in contemporary London, has a chance encounter with a mysterious neighbor (Mescal) that punctures the rhythm of his everyday life. As they start getting closer, Adam is pulled back to his childhood home where he discovers that his late parents (Foy and Bell) are both still alive and look the same age as the day they died over 30 years ago.”
