Why has nobody reported on a 06.29.23 New York Times story that Jonathan Majors’ accuser might get arrested by the NYPD?
Three sources, from the New York Police Department, are telling the NY Times that the woman who accused Jonathan Majors of assault attacked Mr. Majors herself and believe that there is enough evidence to support her arrest.
Grace Jabbari told the police that he had assaulted her during a taxi ride to his home in Manhattan. Jabbari was his girlfriend of several years at the time. Her claims of assault included Majors slapping her face, pulling her finger and choking her.
Jabbari later tried to retract her accusations against Majors. His lawyer, Priya Chaudhry, has stated all along that the charges against her client are false, and that it was actually Jabbari who assaulted him. Chaudry added that Jabbari also stole personal belongings from Majors’ home.
Late last week, the police issued what is known as an I-card for Ms. Jabbari. The I-card, which appears in a department database, is different from an arrest warrant, which is typically signed by a judge, but alerts officers that there is probable cause to arrest Ms. Jabbari.
