Last month, Tran Anh Hung won the Best Director award at Cannes for his competition entry “The Pot-au-Feu” — a richly satisfying romance set in the French culinary world. Juliette Binoche and Benoît Magimel are a magnetic pairing here. This was a film very much in the same tradition as fellow foodie cinematic delights “Big Night” and Babette’s Feast.” Sapan Studios and IFC Films have now acquired U.S. rights to “The Pot-au-Feu.” Don’t be surprised if this one crashes next year’s Oscar race.
