A Variety cover story on Scarlett Johansson tells us that she didn’t get paid that much for her work “Asteroid City.”
She happily earned a paltry $4,131 a week for two months of work on the Focus Features film that shot in Spain.
This translates to $33k for the whole shoot. It’s the SAG minimum. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Scarlett in these trying times.
Obviously, her interest in making this film was in working with Wes Anderson, but that is not a lot of money for an actress who makes millions with every movie she stars in.
Johansson is one of the leads in “Asteroid City,” only Jason Schwartzman has more screentime than her.
