Reshoots for Greta Gerwig’s “Barbie” occurred in Los Angeles last week. These weren't minor ones either, Margot Robbie was spotted on the set.
The reshoots were said to be scenes that took place in the “Real World” and not “Barbie Land.” Curiously enough, the entire trailer for “Barbie” is composed of scenes set in “Barbie Land”. I’m told that it’s deceiving and that the “Real World” setting takes up a big chunk of the movie.
This has led to a new cut of “Barbie” being test-screened next weekend in California. It’ll be interesting to see if it’s as well received as the previous version, which was test-screened on 02.09.23 in New Jersey.
“Barbie” cost Warner Bros $100 million to produce, but they seem to be pretty confident with this one especially since they’ve decided to release it on the same weekend as Christopher Nolan’s “Oppenheimer.”
