New Jordan Peele Movie Set for Christmas Day 2024 Release

March 20, 2023 Jordan Ruimy

This is much welcomed news.

Jordan Peele’s next film will be with Universal Pictures, as the studio has just set an untitled fourth film from the writer/director for release on Dec. 25, 2024.

As with all projects directed by Peele, this one comes in total and utter secrecy. We probably won’t know much about the film until it gets released.

As far as I’m concerned, Peele is 3 for 3 so far in his short but impressive directorial career. Yes, he hasn’t managed to replicate the zeitgeist brilliance of “Get Out,” but the man’s got chops.

Peele had teased last year that he wants to make a “Nope” sequel. We really don’t need this talented writer-director to embark on his own cinematic universe. I doubt this 2024 release is that.

I would love to see Peele go back to his smaller-budgeted films and slyly provoke us the same way he did with his first two features. Don’t get me wrong, “Nope” had ambition to spare.

Peele is a talented guy and I’m saying this as someone who loved “Get Out,” and really liked “Nope” and “Us.” His sense of framing a shot and building atmosphere is really quite something.

Peele’s mysterious 2024 movie will once again be distributed by Universal and produced by Peele's production company Monkeypaw.
