Woody Allen’s “Coup de Chance” is being released in Italy this week. He was interviewed by La Repubblica in a very candid interview where he calls out his “Wonder Wheel” star, Kate Winslet, for throwing him under the bus during the beginnings of MeToo.
It also doesn’t sound like he’ll be retiring anytime soon, that is if he can get financing for his next film, which would most likely come from European money. He says he has a “great” story for a film set in NYC and that “it's one of the best ideas I've ever had”
Allen, who just turned 88, reiterates that someone has to come offering the money for it and that he will continue to make movies as long as someone wants to finance them. It would most likely not come from an American financier.
Last month I reported that “Coup de Chance,” his 50th film, got US distribution in the United States, and that should be announced fairly soon.
