According to a new report by The InSneider, “Avengers: Secret Wars” will "a giant five-hour movie with a year-long intermission." So, it’ll be split into two 2.5 hour movies.
This suggests that its current slated date of May 7, 2027, will be quickly followed by Avengers: Secret Wars (Part 2) in 2028. This makes sense since the former “Avengers: Kang Dynasty” is now internally known at Marvel as ‘Avengers 5.’
Of course, this is just a rumor, and nothing has been confirmed officially by Marvel Studios, but it's been creating a lot of discussion online.
‘Avengers 5’ has a 2027 release date, the strikes already resulted in it being pushed back from 2026. From what we understand, ‘Secret Wars’ had to be rewritten due to the recasting of Jonathan Majors, who was set to play the main villain, Kang the Conqueror.
