Vin Diesel has been accused of sexual battery in a lawsuit by former assistant, Asta Jonasson. The incident is said to have occurred during the filming of “Fast Five.”
The lawsuit alleges that, in 2010, Diesel “groped her breasts and kissed her chest, despite her pleas to stop, then molested her body.” Hours later, according to the lawsuit, Samantha Vincent, Diesel’s sister and the president of his company, called Jonasson and fired her.
Jonasson filed the sexual battery lawsuit under California’s Sexual Abuse and Cover Up Accountability Act, a 2022 law that created a one-year window to file certain suits that would otherwise be outside of the statute of limitations.
The lawsuit was filed this morning, it usually takes a few days for such a story to be reported on. In all likelihood, Jonasson’s lawyer tipped Vanity Fair who then went on to report on it. There’s no other way for the media to learn about this filing in such quick fashion.
