Back in September, Daniel Richtman claimed that Matthew Vaughn was the “top choice” to direct the next James Bond. It felt like a rather strange development …
A highly dubious claim that has just been vehemently denied by Vaughn himself. Here’s the ‘Kingsman’ filmmaker chatting with Den of Geek and getting asked the 007 question:
I think there’s more of a chance of me getting cast as James Bond than directing a James Bond; so, highly unlikely.
Scratch him off. Not happening.
I’ve been hearing of a few possible directors who could helm the next Bond, Vaughn was never part of that group. The names that keep coming up are Christopher Nolan, Denis Villeneuve, Paul Greengrass, Yann Demange and David MacKenzie.
