Woody Allen Adds More Actors to Upcoming Paris-Set Film, Storaro Confirmed as DP [Updated]

September 21, 2022 Jordan Ruimy

UPDATE: Allen has added to the cast Niels Schneider, Lou de Laage, Melvil Poupaud and Elsa Zylberstein. All confirmed for Allen’s upcoming Paris-set thriller.

An impressive list of French talent. All four actors have been nominated for Cesars (the French Oscars) — Zylberstein actually won the award for 2008’s “I’ve Loved You So Long.”

I can also confirm that DP Vittorio Storaro will be returning for his fifth collaboration with Allen. Their films together look absolutely sumptuous. Storaro is one of the great cinematographers in cinema history and I absolutely love how he is consistently working with Allen now.

EARLIER: Woody Allen has begun casting his new film, which he is supposed to shoot in a couple of weeks

The star of this new Paris-set film will be Valerie Lemercier, who won the Cesar Award for playing Celine Dion in the fictionalized “Aline.” [via Roger Friedman]

Hopefully the rumoured Isabelle Huppert gets added momentarily, it would be devastating if that didn’t pan out ..
