My jaw dropped when I read an email this morning telling me that Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu’s “Bardo” would be skipping the fall festivals. What?! This was set to be the hottest title.
“Bardo” is currently in post-production and is expected to wrap by the fall. Production included a month of rehearsal and then a 22-week shoot in Mexico.
This same very credible source added that two other Netflix titles, Andrew Dominik’s “Blonde,” and Noah Baumbach’s “White Noise,” will also not be going to Telluride.
Headed to Telluride will likely be Todd Field’s “Tar,” Sarah Polley’s “Women Talking,” James Gray’s “Armageddon Time,” and Scott Cooper’s “Pale Blue Eye.”
