We were all wondering where Mia Hansen-Løve’s “One Fine Morning” was going to end up. After all, she was already in Cannes competition last year with “Bergman Island.” A French filmmaker cracking the official competition two years in a row is a very rare feat.
Now we’re learning that “One Fine Morning” will have its world premiere at the Directors Fortnight/Quinzaine Des Realisateurs sidebar. A huge get for Quinzaine head Paolo Moretti as this will be his last edition overseeing the prestigious festival.
Lea Seydoux stars in the film as single mother who embarks on an affair. This is Hansen-Løve‘s 8th film, some of her more well-known works include “Things to Come,” “Eden,” and “Goodbye First Love.”
