Well, here we go. The first “major” American film festival is set to begin in the US, post-Omicron.
The South By Southwest Film Festival will run from March 11th to March 20th. That’s 10 days of in-person screenings. I’ll be covering it remotely this year, from the comfort of my own living room, and I couldn’t be happier since SXSW is not really a film festival I tend to prioritize.
Then again, quite a few titles caught my attention with this year’s lineup, the big studio world premieres look more-than-decent and the narrative competition has a few films with the potential to be under-the-radar gems.
