The Oscars announced the five finalists for the #OscarsCheerMoment award on their website yesterday (that’s the other fan favourite award), and apparently no one noticed or cared to report on it.
The five nominees are —
- “Avengers: Endgame”: The Avengers Assembling
- “Dreamgirls”: Jennifer Hudson singing “I am Telling You”
- “The Matrix”: Neo dodging the bullets
- “Spider-Man: No Way Home”: Spider-Men all teaming up
- “Zack Snyder's Justice League”: The Speed force scene
100 years worth of cinema to choose from and these are the five most votes moments. I fear for the culture of movies in this country, most people just don’t care about its rich history. It’s time for a major intervention — probably after Amazon’s “Cinderella” wins the Popular Oscar next month.
