Sean Baker’s passion and love for film is beautiful to behold. Hell, he even has a public Letterboxd account. so, not only is he a great filmmaker, but he’s also very much active in the online film world. I was even told he reads this site!
Baker has weighed in on Ruben Ostlund’s “Triangle of Sadness,” which is being released this Friday. In short, he absolutely, unabashedly loved it.
TRIANGLE OF SADNESS is not just my favorite film of the year, it’s my favorite film in years. Seeing this masterpiece with a full house at @BeyondFest was about as fun as movie going gets. This film opens on 10/7 and I implore you to see it on the big screen. @neonrated
Anything to boost Ostlund’s excellent film.
It rightly won the Palme d’Or in May and a growing “love it or hate it” consensus is fervently growing around Ostlund’s dark comedy. My advice is to and to watch “Triangle of Sadness” in a packed theatre, as I mentioned yesterday it benefits from the theatrical experience. I haven’t laughed this hard during a movie in a very long time.
