Deadline is reporting that Francis Ford Coppola has finalized his “Megalopolis” cast.
Attention cancel culture cultists, the film will probably need a disclaimer warning before you watch the opening credits as MAGA’s Jon Voight, sexual deviant Dustin Hoffman and toxic boyfriend Shia LaBeouf will all be featured on-screen. You have been warned.
Hey, Coppola is funding this film with his own money, so he can basically do whatever the hell he wants. Does he know critics are sharpening their knives due to the aforementioned actors?
The main cast will be composed of Adam Driver, Forest Whitaker, Nathalie Emmanuel, Jon Voight, Laurence Fishburne, Talia Shire, Shia LaBeouf, Jason Schwartzman, Dustin Hoffman, Kathryn Hunter, and James Remar.
We had reported last week that Hoffman was joining the cast. Production is set to begin in November and run through March 2023. There is, obviously, no release date for now. I would bet this even gets a 2024 slot given all the VFX and new technology that will be used on the film.
