Social media injected Oscar hopes inside the heads of the “RRR” producers. Now, the Indian film has launched a massive Oscar campaign that will amount to absolutely nothing. Money blown.
The FYC awards/Oscars campaign will be going for Best Picture, Best Director, Actor, Screenplay, Original Song, Score, Editing, Cinematography, Sound, Production Design, VFX and more categories. It’s a full-fledged campaign.
As far as 3-hour movies go, “Bardo” stands a better chance at getting nods than “RRR,” especially if Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu uses that pendulum of his to forecast the predictions.
“RRR” needs momentum and, as far as Oscar voters go, is it realistic enough to believe that they will be willing to watch a 3-hour Indian action musical about the evils of British colonialism?
