The always-reliable Pete Hammond has a 9.18.21 Telluride piece where he claims to “have reliably heard that Netflix will have at least four films at Telluride if things work out”
As I mentioned to Jeffry Wells earlier this afternoon, there’s good reason to presume that the four Telluride-Netflix titles will be Paolo Sorrentino‘s The Hand of God, Jane Campion‘s The Power of the Dog, Adam McKay‘s Don’t Look Up and Andrew Dominik‘s Blonde.
With the above mentioned films, shuffling through rumors and intel, I would bet on Wes Anderson’s The French Dispatch, Reinaldo Marcus Green’s King Richard, Mike Mills’ “C’mon C’mon, Michael Showalter’s “The Eyes of Tammy Faye,” Edgar Wright’s “Last Night in Soho,” Darren Aronofsky’s “The Whale,” Joel Coen’s “The Tragedy of Macbeth,” Paul Schrader’s “The Card Counter,” and, maybe, Guillermo del Toro’s “Nightmare Alley.”
