You better make sure you don’t order that extra-large soda when you catch “No Time To Pee,” err, I mean “No Time to Die” in theaters this April.
Regal Cinemas has revealed that the latest James Bond movie, “No Time To Die,” will be clocking in at 163 minutes in length, making it the lengthiest Bond in the franchise’s near 50-year history.
However, it does seem as though recent Bonds have been growing in length. The last two movies were the longest of the franchise — “Skyfall” was 144 minutes and “Spectre,” clocked in at 148 minutes. However, the psychological barrier of exceeding the 150-minute length at the movies is real, the longer your film is the harder it’ll be to convince people to buy a ticket. Bond is no MCU, so the argument that “Avengers: Endgame” and its 181-minute runtime broke box-office records last year is a non-starter.
“No Time to Die” is set to be Daniel Craig’s final outing as James Bond, it does look as though he will be going out in epic fashion. It helps that talented visualist Cary Fukunaga (“Beasts of No Nation”) will be directing the film and, none other than, Pheobe Waller-Bridge (“Fleabag”) was hired to polish a screenplay written by Fukunaga, Scott Z. Burns, Neal Purvis, and Robert Wade.
“No Time To Die” will be in theaters on April 8th.
