Actor Ray Liotta, who gives his best performance in years as a hotshot L.A. divorce attorney in Noah Baumbach’s upcoming “Marriage Story,” recently admitted that he didn’t believe any of the sexual misconduct allegation against Woody Allen.
Whilst interviewed by Business Insider’s Jason Guerrasio, Liotta was asked which director he would love to work with. After answering Woody Allen, Guerassio then retorted, “despite the allegations against him?” to which Liotta replied, “I believe what [Woody Allen] says. I don't think he did what they accuse him of. He's too — for his particular case I don't buy it.”
Liotta joins a growing number of actors and actresses who have vehemently defended Allen, despite the legendary writer-director being nixed by “cancel culture” due to decades-old allegation resurfacing in the #MeToo era. Pro-Allen actors and actresses now include Scarlett Johannson, Alec Baldwin, Anjelica Huston, Michael Caine, Diane Keaton, Javier Bardem, Cate Blanchett, Alan Alda, Gina Gershon, and many more prolific celebs.
