I’m about to board a plane to NYC. I’ll be attending the 57th annual New York Film Festival, more specifically the 9 am world premiere screening of Martin Scorsese’s “The Irishman”(which screens on Friday). As it stands, the film clocks in at 3 hours and 29 minutes, making it the lengthiest big-studio movie of the entire decade. In between all that will be interviews, a 10 am Thursday screening of Kelly Reichardt’s “First Cow” and, cross your fingers, the Netflix/NYFF/Irishman reception (many thanks to Albert Tello over at Netflix for all the help).
