In an interview with CinemaBlend, “IT Chapter Two” director Andy Muschietti reveals that the “Supercut” of both films that he’s been working on would run a massive 390 minutes and also include unreleased scenes:
“I can’t tell you, and this is only an expression of desire, of course. The supercut is something that is yet not out as an idea,” Muschietti said. “We have to talk about it. But I definitely want to make a supercut with material that nobody has seen because it was lifted from ‘Chapter Two.’ But also new stuff, new material…It would probably be around six and a half hours.”
2017’s “IT Chapter One” earned more than $700M worldwide — the only way that a 6+ hour “supercut” could ever be released is if the much-anticipated second chapter delivers those same numbers at the box-office.
Early reactions from critics have been mixed on the film.
“It: Chapter Two” arrives in theaters on September 6th.
