“It: Chapter Two” is being released in two weeks but the hype surrounding the horror sequel is well under way, with even director Andy Muschietti already teasing a possible extended version he’s been working on. If you remember, Muschietti’s original of “Chapter Two” clocked in at more than 4-hours.
However, Muschietti has also confirmed that he is working on mixing both chapters together for a singular and lengthy director’s cut of its own. A massive Director’s Cut and/or supercut of both films would be the logical next step forward after the release of “Chapter Two” and there surely would be a market/audience for it.
“The possibilities are open,” Muschietti said in an interview with SFX Magazine (via GamesRadar). “There’s a version where the two movies are cut together. There’s a version where there’s a special director’s cut of number one and a special director’s cut of number two. And I’m happy to basically work on every one of them.”
“It: Chapter Two” arrives in theaters on September 6.
