There’s an an upcoming, untitled Jennifer Lawrence film in the works, involving producer extraordinaire Scott Rudin, and Lila Neugebauer (“The Waverly Gallery”) directing via a script by first-timer Elizabeth Sanders.
Lawrence had a great streak going with 2010’s “Winter’s Bone,” 2012’s “Silver Linings Playbook,” 2013’s “American Hustle,” not to mention three highly-successful “Hunger Games” movies and the blockbuster “X-Men” trilogy she’s been a part of.
However, things got pretty dire for Lawrence when she co-starred in “Serena” (’14), a ’30s era Susanne Bier film that everyone hated, not to mention the deeply despised “Passengers” with Chris Pratt in 2016. Critics and audiences were also severely split on Darren Aronofsky’s “mother!” and last year’s spy-drama “Red Sparrow”
As an artist you will have ups and downs, Lawrence’s career could never keep the momentum she built up between 2010-2014, that was too much of a high, there had to be a down. She is 29-years-old, has this upcoming Rudin-produced project on the horizon, another X-Men movie as well this summer (“Dark Phoenix”) and is also rumored to lead Adam McKay’s next movie “Bad Blood.” I hope this comeback works.
