Ah yes, good old MCU marathons before an ‘Avengers’ movie is released. It’s become a tradition, the only problem now with such an event is that the films have piled up and the marathon now has to run for nearly three days, given that we have 22 movies in the MCU.
I will never embark on such an exploration, watching every Marvel movie back-to-back sounds like torture to me, but AMC knows there are freaks out there willing to lose sleep over this, even if it means chugging a bunch of energy drinks to stay awake
Starting on April 23, AMC will show all 22 MCU movies in a massive Marvel movie marathon. The Alamo Drafthouse is also hosting a similar event. As you know, the MCU started with 2008’s “Iron Man” and has so far gone up to movie #22 with “Captain Marvel.” If you include “Avengers: Endgame” into the mix, that would make for a 59 hour movie marathon. Just the thought of having to suffer through this is enough to have me all anxious and looking for that bottle of Xanax.
It’s a risk. After 56 hours of trying to stay awake, you will have to suck it up, drink your 30th red bull to be able to stay alert for “Avengers: Endgame.” Technically, you can take a nap during “Thor: The Dark World” and “Iron Man 2,” so that’ll give you a good 4 hours of, hopefully, rem-induced shuteye. It’s all about strategy, folks.
AMC’s website and the Alamo Drafthouse website are selling tickets.
