Just as tickets for the film went on sale on Monday night, the eagerly awaited final trailer for “Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker” just premiered on ESPN’s Monday Night Football telecast.
Seems like Palpatine was behind it all. And, no, the title doesn’t necessarily mean Luke will return from the dead like Jesus; I believe the ‘rise’ of Skywalker might very well be Rey ..
Earlier in the year, Oscar Isaac told the ‘Today Show’ (via IndieWire) that “Rise of the Skywalker” “would be the end of the entire Skywalker saga.” He went on to add that “what J.J. [Abrams] has done, and the entire Lucasfilm team, is incredibly fulfilling. It’s also special for us because you get to learn a lot more things about these characters.”
With all of that being said, Hayden Christensen surely has to be involved in this movie, right? “Rise of Skywalker” is said to be the final installment in the Skywalker saga, which includes George Lucas’ prequel trilogy from the early ’00s as well as the first three Star Wars films starring Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, and Harrison Ford.
“The Rise of Skywalker” hits theaters on Dec. 20.
