The launch of Disney+ is just a few days away (November 1st) and today we’ve learned that one of the perks of the upcoming streaming service will be that as long as somebody remains a subscriber, any titles they've downloaded for free on the Disney+ app will remain to be watched offline, no matter what happens to their availability to stream directly [via CNET].
Disney CEO Bob Iger revealed this intriguing bit of news on Tuesday, speaking at Vanity Fair's New Establishment Summit:
"But by and large, almost all of it is there," Iger said about the Disney catalog. "And if you're a subscriber, you can download it and put it on a device, and it will stay on the device as long as you continue to subscribe."
"If you wanted to download 10 classic Disney films that may not have all been available at once before, you can do that, basically fill all of your hard drive on one of your devices, and you or your child can watch wherever they are," he said.
