Tom Hardy barely had time to breathe when he finished shooting this November's upcoming "Venom." Josh Trank's "Fonzo" was his next shoot, which has Hardy playing notorious gangster Al Capone. Today, we have our first official look at this transformation and, well, there's a lot of makeup involved. Hardy looks completely unrecognizable as Capone, who died at the age of 48, which is around when "Fonzo"is set.
There is currently no release date for the film, but Trank will surely be banking his major studio career on it as he is still reeling from the terrible production of "Fantastic Four." Trank was a hot commodity in the industry, having directed low-budget superhero flick "Chronicle," but the Marvel movie all but killed his momentum when a studio-interfered version of "Fantastic Four" was released to terrible reviews and a lethargic box-office.
