Harvey Weinstein had surrendered to authorities in May, with the accusations on the former Miramax head honcho having to do with “rape, criminal sex act and other charges from encounters with two women.”
Weinstein is currently out on bail, based from that arrest, with no trial date set.
However, it seems like things will only be getting worse for Weinstein as he now faces three new felony charges, which could lead to life in prison.
A report from Variety confirms that Weinstein was indicted earlier today on three additional charges, having to do with inappropriate behavior. All three charges have to do with an unknown woman in 2006, who alleged that he forced her to perform oral sex on him, an act that Weinstein has been accused multiple times of perpetrating on his victims in the past.
So now, he faces another count of criminal sexual act in the first degree and two counts of predatory sexual assault. What does all this mean in terms of sentencing? If found guilty, Weinstein could face 10 years to life in prison
In case you are living in a rock, the Miramax boss had become the evil face that sparked the #MeToo and #TimesUp movements. He will most likely do time.
