“Honey Boy” is most definitely a film that is part of our must-see list for next year. It will, at the very least, be a therapeutic film for its star Shia LaBeouf, who is going to tackle some heavy personal daddy issues he's had in his life.
The actual synopsis goes like this:
“A child actor and his law-breaking, alcohol-abusing father attempt to mend their contentious relationship over the course of a decade.”
LaBeouf will star alongside Lucas Hedges in “Honey Boy,” which is directed by Alma Har’el.
Hedges is said to be portraying LaBoeuf back when the actor was starring in the Disney Channel show, “Even Stevens,” in the early 2000s. LaBeouf, has also mentioned he will play his own father. In fact, the title stems from the nickname LaBeouf’s dad gave to his son when he was a child.
There is currently no release date for "Honey Boy."
