I'm supposed to watch Clint Eastwood‘s The 15:17 to Paris this Thursday but word of mouth has so far been very tame from those that have actually seen it. This looks like another brief, true-story expanded into a 90 minute film, this is basically "Sully," which I really liked by the way, the minimalist approach to storytelling Eastwood gave us in that movie was unique for him and it seems to continue here with "15:17". The fact that Eastwood has decided to cat real-life heroes— Anthony Sadler, Alek Skarlatos and Spencer Stone- who botched the terrorist's plans on a Paris train makes the film an intriguing prospect, but a look at the trailer and the acting feeld somewhat wooden. Dorothy Blyskal wrote the screenplay which is based on “The 15:17 to Paris: The True Story of a Terrorist, a Train, and Three American Soldiers” by Jeffrey Stern.
