In a historic move, "Cloverfield Paradox” will hit Netflix right after the Super Bowl is over. The streaming giant has yet again proved themselves to be geniuses at marketing. This basically looks like “Cloverfield” in space, although I’ve only read the synopsis but “The Cloverfield Paradox” is the third installment in the J.J. Abrams franchise. The director here is Julius Onah, the screenwriters are Oren Uziel and Doug Jung.
The film quietly started filming in the summer of 2016 and we really had no idea when a release date would actually happen. It was originally supposed to be released on February 24, 2017 then it was altered to October 27, 2017, then back again to February 2nd and finally to April 20th. Paramount ended up selling the rights to Netflix, never a good sign, but who knows how the film will be. We will have some answers at around 9:30 PM EST.
The cast includes David Oyelowo, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Ziyi Zhang, Elizabeth Debicki, Daniel Brühl and Chris O’Dowd.
