"The Big Short" director is at the helm of this Dick Cheney biopic entitled "Backseat."With the aforementioned Bale as Cheney, the movie will also have Steve Carrell, as Donald Rumsfeld, and Amy Adams, as Lynne Cheney. Expect to see them at the 2019 Oscars. I'm particularly looking forward to Carrell's Rumsfeld.
The above picture seems to indicate that Christian Bale is going through another weight fluctuation for his role as Cheney. If you remember, last year Bale decided to leave Michael Mann's Enzo Ferrari biopic because he became worried that he wouldn’t be able to safely gain the weight. Telling the USA Today:
“I thought I was going to lose the weight I gained for American Hustle. I said, two months, flat, that’ll do it. I was 185 and I went up to 228 for it. And I’m still working that off! It’s almost six months later. Now, I know that when I was in my early twenties it would have been two months and that’s it.”

It seems like any concerns Bale might have had with his health have gone to dust. Sporting a bald head and heavy figure, the 43-year-old actor has been doing press for his upcoming film "Hostiles." According to EW, to pack on the pounds, Bale stated “I’ve just eaten a lot of pies, so far,” At the very least this can't be as unhealthy as going down to 113 pounds for "The Machinist," but it does beg the question, when will enough be enough for the actor?
