If ever a film needed an unrated Director's Cut....
James Gunn might be known as the genius behind "Guardians of the Galaxy," but Gunn has, more or less, tried to erase his past as a screenwriter of lackluster Hollywood films. Sure, he wrote top-tier stuff like "Dawn of the Dead," "Slither" and "Guardians of the Galaxy, but, before that, there was " Tromeo and Juliet (1996), Scooby-Doo (2002) and its sequel Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed (2004). He has never really spoken about them until now.
Lo and behold a Facebook post from Gunn this evening about the 20th anniversary of his "beloved" Scooby-Doo. It really is a heartfelt message, but the niftiest surprise is the revelation that the original cut was rated R!
