Kids, listen to Uncle Steven. He speaks the truth. I know way to many cinephiles, hell film critics, that don't really watch older films that were made before the 1970's, sometimes before the 1980's. Why? Could just be the fact that millenials don't care about film history. There's also a major stigma in regards to black and white films with younger audiences. My advice? How can you deny yourself from watching such masterful stuff as Vertigo, Citizen Kane, Sunrise, Bicycle Thieves, 12 Angry Men, Modern Times, Psycho, Rear Window, Sunset Boulevard, Double Indemnity and Touch of Evil among hundreds more. Do your homework, if you want to be part of the future of film criticism this is the best way to get street cred.
