I saw this movie at TIFF 2016. Atrocious. It takes a special kind of movie to make just £7 in its opening weekend, despite having a decent star helming the whole thing.
"According to ComScore, though, the worst newcomer was Shia LaBeouf’s latest war film, Man Down. The film may have only been released in one cinema in Lancashire, but that doesn’t excuse the absolutely catastrophic £7 gross. (The Void opened over the weekend in one cinema and took £1,613.) Turns out, LaBeouf, along with Gary Oldman, Kate Mara and Jai Courtney couldn’t convince Burnley’s residence to visit the cinema. The film currently has a 15 percent Rotten Tomatoes score, with an average score of 3.8. Not exactly inspiring stuff."
