‘Babylon’ Budget Reported to Be $110 Million
Damien Chazelle’s “Babylon” will be released on December 25th. There’s already plenty of anticipation for this film, which is said to be a demented mix of “Fellini’s Satyricon,” “The Wolf of Wall Street,” and “Singin’ in the Rain.”
We now have an estimate of the budget. “Babylon” cost around $110 million to make. Production on the film began in mid-2020 and wrapped in October 2021. There had been a few short delays due to COVID, otherwise filming was fluid and uninterrupted.
“La La Land” had a budget of $30 million. “Whiplash” cost $3 million. “First Man” was around $60 million.
As we speak, there has been no trailer and poster released for “Babylon.” It is also set to skip the fall fests. The film test-screened to wild praise earlier in the year with a cut clocking in at around 185 minutes.
